From the WSJ:
Realtors to Revise 2007-2011 Sales Data LowerThe National Association of Realtors, which publishes the monthly report on sales of previously occupied homes, said it will release revisions to home sales for 2007 through 2010 and for the first 10 months of this year. The data is scheduled to be released on Dec. 21, along with the group’s monthly report on home sales in November.
Last year the NAR reported sales of 4.9 million previously occupied homes. I expect 2010 sales to be revised down by 10% to 15%. Using the HousingTracker data, I've estimated
2010 sales will be revised down to around 4.25 million.
