Zillow Case-Shiller Forecast: Similar House Price Gains in November

The Case-Shiller house price indexes for October were released earlier. Zillow forecasts Case-Shiller a month early, and I like to check the Zillow forecasts since they have been pretty close.

Home prices were steady in October, gaining 5.5 percent year-over-year, the same as September, according to the Case-Shiller home price index. The gain was slightly above Zillow’s forecast, and we expect another 5.5 percent year-over-year increase in November.

The Zillow forecast is for the year-over-year change for the Case-Shiller National index to be about the same in November as in October.
